TV characters die for a lot of reasons. Sometimes their stories just run their course, and the larger narrative demands it. Maybe someone didn't renew their contract, or there was an on-set conflict that meant they got written out. Occasionally, the actor themselves passes, and it becomes inevitable. Whatever the reason, we've all had the experience of turning on one of our favorite shows, only to watch a key character suddenly take a dirt nap out of nowhere.
