Les Françaises et les Français font de moins en moins d’enfants et ils les font de plus en plus tard.

Récemment, le président Emmanuel Macron a annoncé vouloir se saisir du “problème” en mettant tout en œuvre pour un réarmement démographique.

Cette expression guerrière a beaucoup choqué en France et venait semer le doute alors même que le droit à l’avortement était sur le point d’être inscrit dans la constitution.

Comme si l’utérus des femmes ne leur appartenait plus. Comme si elles avaient un devoir à accomplir. Comme si le choix n’était plus vraiment un choix.

Pourtant, de plus en plus de couples français en âge d’avoir des enfants hésitent à en avoir. On a donc eu envie de creuser la question en allant à leur rencontre.

Quelles sont les raisons qui poussent les Françaises et les Français à vouloir un enfant, à ne pas en avoir ou à ne pas savoir ?

The French are having fewer and fewer children, and they are having them later and later.

Recently, President Emmanuel Macron announced that he wanted to tackle the "problem" by doing everything possible for a demographic rearmament.

This warlike expression came as a great shock in France, sowing doubts at a time when the right to abortion was about to be enshrined in the constitution.

As if women's wombs no longer belonged to them. As if they had a duty to fulfill.

Yet more and more French couples of child-bearing age are hesitating to have children.

What are the reasons why French people want a child, don't want one or don't know?
